Pet Portraits
Celebrate your pets with this unique portrait that will last a lifetime.
This one-of-a-kind portrait is a beautiful conversation piece and a monument to our beloved pets.
Made in the style of Pointillism, or stippling in ink, thousands of individual dots come together to create a classic, photo-realistic portrait of your pet.
Portrait Information
It can take up to 20 hours to draw this type of portrait. Patience and a steady hand are key to this style of art.
An line drawing is reproduced from a photo in order to capture as much detail as possible.
Your pet’s photo is processed through a photo editing software to adjust the exposure, shadows and saturation. Then it’s outlined on screen to isolate the line drawing, where every whisker, spot and wrinkle are accounted for.
Next, the line drawing is lightly transferred onto thick, durable 140lb. watercolor grade paper, size 11x14”.
And finally the drawing can begin. Your pet’s portrait will be created with love and care to make sure they closely resemble their photo.
Every portrait is 100% hand-drawn. No part of the artwork is computer generated.
Once the portrait is complete, it’s matted and framed in a classic black frame with white matting. You can also choose not to have your portrait matted and framed if you prefer to use your own.
Each portrait also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity to guarantee that it’s the true original artwork by Kacie Schendel.
